


About: Wodpay is a fintech company focused on the niche of sports coaches, streamlining the process of forming training groups and managing recurring payments through a delinquent tracking system, WhatsApp notifications, and the ability to receive payments in any currency (Euro, Dollar, Peso, crypto).

Problem:
The problem faced by fitness coaches in Argentina is multifaceted:
Lack of Technological Knowledge: Coaches often have limited technological knowledge, making it challenging to implement digital solutions for business management.
- Handling Multiple Currencies: Their clients are often digital nomads from various countries, requiring coaches to collect payments in different currencies. This complicates financial management due to exchange rate fluctuations and potential transaction fees.
- Manual Accounting: Coaches often maintain their financial records manually, a method that can be inefficient, error-prone, and difficult to keep up to date, especially with a large number of clients.
- Payment Reminders: Coaches spend a significant amount of time reminding clients to make payments, which is not only inefficient but can also strain client relationships as they have to take on the role of a debt collector.
Solution: “Wodpay” offers several key benefits for efficient personal training business management:
- Support for Multiple Currencies: Wodpay allows for payments to be made and received in various currencies, such as Argentine pesos, US dollars, and euros. This is particularly useful for coaches with international clients, simplifying transactions without worrying about exchange rates and transaction fees.
- Automated Recurring Payments: The application enables the setup of recurring payments, eliminating the need to remind clients about periodic payments. This ensures a steady income flow and reduces time spent on payment management.
- Intuitive Dashboard for Payment Tracking: Wodpay offers an intuitive dashboard where coaches can track payments for specific periods. This makes accounting easier and helps maintain a clear record of income and transactions.
- Automated Delinquent Notifications: The app includes a system for sending mass notifications to remind clients with outstanding payments. This automates the reminder process, freeing the coach from the role of personally collecting payments.
Reflection: Wodpay’s challenge is how to develop a financial solution focused on a niche that is not very tech-savvy and is accustomed to managing their finances in a notebook. Simplifying the user experience and wording was a priority, as well as creating a frictionless and effortless experience.
