Short Biography

Arturo Grande was born in Salta, Argentina on December 26th, 1995. From a very young age, he was interested in technology and art. At an early age, he learned to use computers on his own.

At the age of 15, he discovered the internet and its endless possibilities. He joined the open-source game developer community “Argentum Online,” where he was part of the official development team in the graphic design area. He learned to program web pages and began offering services as a freelancer for friends and family.

At the age of 18, he decided to move to Buenos Aires to study Multimedia Design. He joined the development team of the first Argentine app for Google Glass, a fixture for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Two years later, he lost interest in formal studies and decided to embark on a journey of self-discovery and finding his purpose. He started in Recife, Brazil, where he worked in an NGO called Missao Educar, located in a favela. That experience changed him. He returned to Buenos Aires and decided to dedicate his life full-time to social impact. For 5 years, he traveled the world participating in conferences and volunteering, getting to know Lima, Quito, New York, Budapest, New Delhi.

He was National Director of Marketing at AIESEC Argentina. During his tenure, the organization went from 16,000 to 32,000 applicants in one year. He trained in entrepreneurship and innovation at the global academy Scalabl and joined the Argentine delegation of Young Entrepreneur Alliance at the G20 held in Buenos Aires in 2018.

He was then elected National Director of Marketing in Spain and moved to Madrid for a year. In that experience, he traveled all over the country giving trainings at universities in Seville, Malaga, Valencia, Zaragoza, Barcelona, and the Basque Country.

His contract ended during the pandemic, and he was stranded in Spain without work permits. He decided to become a digital citizen of Estonia to open his first company: an edtech that brought together more than 15 educators from around the world to provide an impactful educational model #OneForOne. For every sale generated by the company, a scholarship was donated to a person in a vulnerable situation through a network of NGOs in Argentina.

During that time, he provided marketing freelancing services to companies such as ImpactHub Barcelona and youbumerang.com (reusable containers for the restaurant sector). He lived in Coliving Co-Impact where he was granted a scholarship in exchange for marketing consulting services and developing a website. He completed the unregulated Master’s program in Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Catalan school Learning By Helping. Due to his migratory situation, he lived for a time with refugees on the street, connecting deeply with the issue. Together with the owner of the Coliving, Gian Franco Mercado, he launched an initiative called “Impact Football” to connect undocumented immigrants with locals and promote inclusion through sports.

Due to the difficulties he faced exporting services and regularizing his legal status in Spain, he decided to specialize in blockchain and cryptocurrencies. He graduated from the Argentine program cryptotribe, where he connected with specialists and understood the basics of the technology. He became an enthusiast of web3 and began generating content for networks and giving talks and trainings on the subject.

In 2021, after several years abroad, he decided to return to Argentina to experience the web3 revolution in his country with a firm purpose of bringing education and technology to the interior provinces. He was recognized as one of the 10 outstanding young people in the “business achievements” category by JCI.

He gave a talk at the UNCUYO University, where he met his partner Francesco Gentile, a brilliant full-stack programmer. Together, they co-founded web3makers.org in 2022, a non-profit organization aimed at federalizing technology education. They also co-founded bestem.dev, a software factory based in Mendoza that provides comprehensive MVP (Minimum Viable Product) development services focused on the web3 sector.

That same year, Arturo was invited to join the phieconomy.org movement founded by Alejandro Sewrjugin, which promotes the use of crypto-economy to regenerate the world through Sustainable Development Goals.

During 2022, Arturo was a speaker at numerous events, giving talks on prototype design and user experiences to reduce friction in web3, methodologies such as Design Thinking for user-centered development, and the use of crypto-economy to regenerate the world (ReFi).

In 2023, with the boom of Artificial Intelligence, together with Francesco, they decided to focus their company on AI research and development. Arturo was invited to join the Argentine Society of Artificial Intelligence as Director of Organizational Development and began to promote the potential and risks of technology in numerous media outlets in the country.

Today, Arturo continues to give talks and conferences, providing consulting, design, and marketing services from bestem.dev, and organizing technology events from web3makers.org and nerdconf.com.
