About: A platform that allows the creation of a digital property identity on the blockchain and connects property owners with tenants, providing a reputation system for both.

My Role: Product Designer, Product Strategy

Challenge: The problem faced by both tenants and property owners is not owning their reputation. This creates a trust issue when renting a property for both stakeholders.

Solution: A system that allows property owners to tokenize properties by attaching property data, photos, and the corresponding contract, and then manage reservations and receive and send feedback from tenants, recorded on-chain.

Reflection: The main challenge of BeTrusty v1 as a digital product was not having a concrete business model. Initially, the idea was to tokenize real estate and obtain a percentage of that property’s sale. Unfortunately, the legal framework in Argentina was not ideal to launch a product with these characteristics in the market. Therefore, it pivoted to targeting the temporary rental market, which haas grown significantly in recent years, with the idea of monetizing it through the sale of access to a dashboard for property owners that allowed connecting other platforms like Airbnb and Booking and providing detailed information on the performance of their properties.
